ASCE Activities

ASCE has many activities and events that are meant to network engineering students, provide a bridge between students and engineering firms but also to have fun.

The two big activity's that ASCE participant in are the Concrete canoe and steel bridge competition

Every year we also participate in to following community activity's

ASCE once a semester goes to Sunnyside Elementary School to teach the students about engineering with hands on activates
ASCE has adopted a stretch of highway just out side of pullman on the way to the snake river. Once a semester/year a group of ASCE members cleans up all the trash in the ditches along that section of HW 194.

Social Events

Each year we strive to create and plan events besides the informative professional lectures that are geared toward networking the student body together through fun events
Spring 2008 WSU ASCE went on a Ski trip to Silver Mountain on Feb. 24

This year is the 2nd annual bowling tournament. Last year we had a lot of fun and there is more participation this year. We are hoping to make this a tradition four our chapter
ASCE also held a Open to close at the ZZU this semester.
WSU's chapter is trying to get more and more people involved in ASCE and these social events are a great way to get people more interested.

Professional Presentations

These are presentations from people that work in the field. We try to get a wide selection of all the areas of engineering. If you have any firm that you want to come present please contact our president.
These General meetings also are a place to announce up coming activities and are the place were members can talk to officers if they have ideas for activities.
